Registration Details
The MSU Grandparents University program is funded by the registration fees paid by participants. As such, we assess the ability to conduct the program on a year-to-year basis and we will not know if we can do the program and the dates for the program until late fall.
Paid registration includes: admission to the Grandparents University classes and class materials, two nights lodging in the dorm, a certificate of participation, buses to select locations, and meals in the dorm cafeteria. Meals included in the registration are: Wednesday lunch and dinner; Thursday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Friday breakfast and lunch.
A maximum number of people can be accommodated for this entire event. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Once we have reached capacity, registration will be closed and a waiting list will be established. Participation in previous programs does not guarantee you a space.
2008 Program Rates
Early-Bird Rate (before Feb. 1, 2008):
Adult: $225 per person
Child: $179 per personRegular Rate (Feb. 1, 2008 or later):

Adult/Child Requirement
Children attending Grandparents University must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No more then two children can be accompanied by one adult. If two children attend with one adult, they must all attend the same classes. If two children attend with two adults, each adult/child pair may attend a different class. Similarly, no more than two adults may accompany one child. If you have multiple adults and children participating, please use the notes field to make it clear which grouping of family members will be attending each set of classes.
Required Contact Information
There are several pieces of information needed for registration and we strongly encourage you to obtain this prior to starting registration. In addition to names and contact information for those attending, you will also need the names, email, phone and mailing address of the child's parent or legal guardian. All communication is done by email, so you will need to have an email for the adult participating as well as the child's parent/guardian. You will also need the age of the child (at the time of the program) and t-shirt sizes for all participants. Once you are registered, each participant must sign and complete several release forms.
Cancellation Policy
If individuals need to cancel, a request for a full refund must be made in writing no later than 5:00pm on February 18, 2008. We are unable to issue any refunds after this date since we will have already incurred a majority of the costs for this program. As a self-funded program, we cannot use public university dollars, and therefore refunds are not possible after the date. Please consider this carefully when registering.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for families to participate in the program.
